Every day, we work across time zones and screens, syncing up through pings and video calls. But nothing beats meeting in person. So we hit pause, packed our bags, and went on a Workation to Goa. Three days of sun, sea, and solid vibes.
People landed, rolled in, dropped bags, and the room filled up fast. Familiar faces, quick nods, and that instant snap-back into team mode. But this time, there were a few new ones in the mix- fresh energy, curious eyes. No stiff intros or icebreakers. Just stories, snacks, and laughter bouncing off the walls like we’d all known each other longer than we had. The group clicked fast. Some snuck off to the beach later that night.
Zero plans, full vibes.
We kicked off the Hulkathon- Webomates’ very own creative sprint, minus the burnout and plus beach proximity. While most dove headfirst into brainstorming madness, a few legends quietly set up shop elsewhere to support customers. They missed some chaos, but their dedication? Total boss move.
The MVP moment?
A voice game where Salil and Ruchika had to guess who’s who just by audio clips. Spoiler: They crushed it. Either they have secret detective training or just really listen during calls. Either way, they nailed it.
By evening, we made our way to a beach shack-chill setup, salty breeze, music already playing low in the background. It started off easy: people grabbing snacks, catching up, settling into the vibe. Then the beats got louder, someone made the first move on the dance floor, and the rest of us followed like it was muscle memory.
The waves kept crashing in the background, the lights added just the right mood, and for a few hours, it was all about the music and the moment.
You know what made it better?
Seeing our senior leaders right there with us. No badges, no titles- just folks dancing, laughing, grabbing mocktails, cocktails, and hyping each other up. No one was on the sidelines. Everyone was in the mix, and the vibe was pure.
Morning hit us like a poorly timed update. Groggy but determined, we powered through our sessions. Ideas still flowed, though slightly slower- blame the night before. But hey, we’re built for this.
On the other hand, the ones who reached the conference room later than our usual schedule were tasked to entertain us and it was like some before party fun.
Then came the cruise. The bus ride there was pure fun with good music. Once on board, the sunset set the mood, and the anchor had us hyped in minutes. So many of us were on a cruise for the first time and trust us it is something that everyone has to experience.
The music dropped, the crowd followed, and suddenly it was just movement, laughter, and noise. And again, no hierarchy- just the entire crew, right there on the dance floor like regular party animals. No one was holding back. We all were dancing like there are no early flights tomorrow.
Spoiler Alert: Many of us had early flights
Nobody likes goodbyes, and this one stung a little. We hugged it out, promised not to ghost each other post-trip, and mentally bookmarked the memories.
Now it’s back to virtual meetings but the energy hits differently. We’ve seen more sides of each other- outside the deadlines, beyond the video calls. The rhythm feels sharper, the team more in sync. These few unforgettable days reminded us how solid this crew really is.
